The 2020 King & Faith Interreligious Symposium

2020 is inaugurating the King & Faith Symposium. The symposium brings together scholars and the general public in interreligious discussions on the theme of justice in varied religious traditions. The symposium is a partnership between NorcalMLK Foundation, the Center for Islamic Studies at the Graduate Theological Union, and the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples in San Francisco.

The annual Howard Thurman Homily is the King & Faith Lectures keynote address. It is a partnership between the NorcalMLK Foundation and the Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples in San Francisco.
The 2020 Howard Thurman speaker is Dr. Munir Jiwa, founding director of the Center for Islamic Studies at the Graduate Theological Union.

The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Sermon at Grace Cathedral honors the March 28, 1965, address delivered by Dr. King as part of the installation of Grace Cathedral.

The MLK March

The MLK march is a 1.5 mile commemorative journey in honor of the 1965 marches from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama, that resulted in the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. We cross the Lefty-O'Doul to commemorate the crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama.

The MLK Interfaith Commemoration

The MLK Interfaith Commemoration brings together interfaith voices in honoring the life of Dr. King. It follows the foundation's annual MLK March and takes place on the Esplanade Stage in Yerba Buena Gardens.

The Most Segregated Hour: The Letters of Co-Founders Alfred Fisk and Howard Thurman
